Today, as part of World Quality Week activities, we would like to share a recent success story of one of our waste sector clients, Skips R Us.

During the integrated quality, environmental and H&S management systems audit it was evident that the organisation has long been committed to ‘doing the right thing’. This was evidenced in the auditor’s report based on top management commitment and the high level of engagement and knowledge of employees, contributing to the clear strategic direction of the organisation, which also includes staged investment cycles. The same level of service is provided to their one-off customers as is for their larger public contracts, engaging with industry protocols and completing regular testing to verify both their recycled product quality and the effectiveness of their quality system, which provides complete traceability on waste streams. As a result, they are to be commended that there were no nonconformities identified during the initial stage two audit activities.

“Skips R Us continue to strive to continually improve our service provision and sustainable site operations. The next step for our company moving forward was to go down the ISO route and so we needed a certification body that could assist with the process, and this guided us to SCS. Right from the off, the process was fully explained, and the audit process was extremely informative for all our staff. With the team effort of management and personnel, the company has been certified against the requirements of the Management System Standards for ISO9001 (Quality), ISO14001 (Environmental), & ISO45001 (Health & Safety). Skips R Us would highly recommend SCS to other companies that are considering third party certification due to the professional and helpful approach of their staff and auditors.” Patrick O’Neill, Skips R Us.

Connor and Tracey took time out to meet their team and hand over hard copies of their well-earned certification last week. It was great to get speaking to their team and meeting Vivian Devlin (CEO), Patrick O’Neill (Compliance Manager) and Stefan Morrissey (Transport Manager).
