We were delighted to visit Skips R Us and their management team last week to present their renewed ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 Registrations, after a rigorous recertification process that included the audit team being subject to observation by UKAS as part of SCS’s ongoing accreditation process.

Company CEO Vivian Devlin commented, “ Skips R Us have just gone through our re-certification visit from SCS and although the process was rigorous this was very beneficial for the company. The Waste Industry is highly regulated, and our team have found that by maintaining and improving on our Integrated Management System the business has made improvements across the board. SCS have been very helpful since the beginning of our ISO journey so we cannot recommend them highly enough.”

Skips R Us is a member of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management & The Institute of Quarrying, whilst staff are WAMITAB qualified/assessed. They are positioned to service markets in both North & South of Ireland, collecting and processing waste at their continually developing Waste Recycling Facility.

The Lead Auditor for SCS commented “Our job is always made more efficient when the client’s top management are visibly committed to their policies and principles that then drive the effectiveness of their management system. Skips R Us were very professional and operated in a transparent manner. The minor issues that were identified were corrected immediately in a proactive fashion, with positive behaviours apparent throughout the organisation, making it easy to support a positive recommendation for recertification”.

Accommodating additional personnel during an audit can bring its own pressures and the process concluded without comment from the UKAS Team and no significant issues for the team at Skips R Us.

Thank you to everyone at Skips R Us for their cooperation and hospitality throughout the process.
